1. Manjalar Dam view point
Manjalar dam can be viewed from the Kodai Ghat road, en route to Kodaikanal, about 19 kilometres (12 mi) from Batlagundu. Behold the mesmerising beauty of the sparkling reservoir that reflects the azure sky above, as you stand captivated by the awe-inspiring sight.
2. Rat-Tail Waterfall view point
The waterfalls is also called Thalaiyar Falls. On a clear day Rat-Tail Falls is visible from the Dum Dum Rock viewpoint. There is a view tower from where you can have a glimpse of the beautiful waterfalls.
2. Silver Cascade Waterfalls view point
Silver Cascade Falls is located on Madurai Kodaikanal Road and is very near to Kodaikanal. You can see a stunning view of water thrashing down from about 200 feet right into the ground. -

4. Kodai Lake & Boating
One of the best places to visit when you are in Kodaikanal is the Kodai Lake. It’s set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls and grassy hills. The star-shaped Kodaikanal Lake, bordered by evergreen forest. Rowing boats can be hired, and hikers and cyclists follow the 5k Lake Road path around the shore.
5. Solar Observatory
The Kodaikanal Solar Observatory is a solar observatory owned and operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics. It is on the southern tip of the Palani Hills 4 kilometres from Kodaikanal.
6. Rose Garden
The Kodaikanal Rose Garden is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kodaikanal, and for good reason. It's home to over 20,000 rose bushes of all different colors and varieties. The garden is also home to a variety of other flowers, plants, and trees, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.
7. Moir Point View
Moir Point is a popular destination with a watchtower offers scenic views of the the valley & mountains. Situated at a distance of 10 km from the Kodaikanal Bus Stand, Moir Point lies on the way to another famous sightseeing lake named Berijam Lake
8. Pine Forest
Located in the south-western part of Kodaikanal, these plantations were put up a century ago. Pine Forest is known for its dramatic tall pines, popular for horse-riding, walking & photography.
9. Guna Caves
Guna Caves, initially named as Devil's Kitchen, is a cave located in Kodaikanal near Pillar Rock. You can reach the caves after a walk through the pine forest. It attracts many visitors every year.
10. Pillar Rock
Pillar rocks constitutes of three granite boulders and each of a height of 400 feet standing shoulder to shoulder. Pillar Rocks is one of the most breathtaking tourist attractions in Kodaikanal.
11. Green Valley View
The Green Valley view point is true to its name as it offers a splendid view of the valley that is 5000 ft. deep from this peak. Located around 5.5 km from the Kodaikanal Lake, Green Valley View promises tourists with mesmerising view of the surrounding area.
12. Coakers Walk
Coaker Walk is a beautiful man-made pathway in Kodaikanal that was built in the year 1872. It offers a beautiful view of the valley besides. Coakers Walk is open from 7 am to 7 pm, the walkway is very near the Kodaikanal Lake. -
